Hi there, First of all, I AM a native Floridian and have lived in Florida all my life except for a stint in the U.S. Air Force. I was born in Miami but got out of that place when I was 5 years old and moved to Boynton Beach. In 1962, I moved to the Ocala National Forest about 30 miles NE of Ocala near Salt Springs, FL and been there ever since. You see there is a lake (Lake Kerr) on one side of me and the National Forest on the other so I am NOT going to have too many neighbors too close! I also have a small QTH located in Ocala proper but I like to spend as much time as possible at the lake. My interest are homebrewing, antennas, and microcomputers. Much of the stuff in my shack is homebrew, P.S's. SWR meter's, Watt meter's, rf samplers, amplifiers, repeater controllers, etc. I really like to build my own stuff. My XYL hates it and says I have entirely too many colored wires & screws for any one person! You can usually find me on South CARS 7.251 mhz whether I'm mobile or at my fixed station. Also you can find me most weekdays on the "Cheerios Net" at 10AM weekdays on 7.140 mhz, NICE Group! I'm NOT much of a contester and much prefer casual QSO's. I also do NOT chase DX though I will work DX if THEY call me. The picture is one of the amps I'm building with 4 811A tubes. 73's Jimbo
